Originally called 'Spoken Word UK' begun on online station Edge FM, in June 2014. Created by poet & author Sinclair Farrell after a meeting with the management of the station, the show was hosted by spoken word artists Poetic Jemz & Russeni, produced by Sinclair Farrell and was aired every Sunday 2-4pm.

 

The show continued for 5 months on the station featured guests including Dean Atta, Sara Hirsch, Amen Noir,  Theresa Lola, Jolade, Miike Galsworthy, Nat Nye, Shareefa Energy, JayO, Samuel King, Emmanuel Speaks & Nego True. 

 

The show prematurely ended in November 2014 as Edge FM stopped broadcasting. Off air for 5 months, the show returned in April 2015 with  a new name & on a brand new station. With its new name 'Poets & Poetry,' the show begun on a new day & time slot on Power Xtra Radio. On April 6th 2015 the first show aired on its new time of 4-6pm each & every Monday. Now hosted by Sinclair Farrell, the show has featured guests including Mina West, Matt Matthews, Devika Seasons, Dylema, Henry Stone, Lenea Herew, Boy Nash & Lionheart. The show has also featured guest hosts Tony Supreme, Samuel King, Minkles & Poet Tyro.

 

After over a year on Power Xtra, the show's spell on the station ended. The last show on the station was in August 2016. Off air until January, the show returned on the 1st January 2017 on Innov8Radio.

The show has been off the air since 2018. Although a weekly pre recorded 30 minute mix show/podcast returned in early 2021 produced & mixed by Sinclair Farrell.
