Watch the Roundhouse: Poetry Slam Final 2022

The prestigious Roundhouse Poetry Slam Final is back as we call on the best in emerging spoken word to compete for a cash prize and the coveted title of Slam Champion.

The Roundhouse Poetry Slam is one of our most anticipated events, first hitting the stage in 2006 and becoming the heart of The Last Word Festival in 2013.

For this year’s final we will be joined by critically acclaimed spoken word artist, George the Poet, for a special performance. The evening will be hosted by poet, performer and playwright, Toby Campion and, joining the judges panel, will be T.S. Eliot prize winner, Joelle Taylor, British poet and co-founder of Malika’s Poetry Kitchen, Malika Booker, and spoken word artist, history teacher and writer Jaspreet Kaur. Having made it through six national heats, the most exciting voices in spoken word will put their original work to the test and our esteemed panel of judges will crown one poet Roundhouse Slam champion.
